In February 2025, BK8 News was formally unveiled as the title sponsor of Gresini Racing MotoGP, with the team rebranded as BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The partnership was described by BK8 News Managing Director Michael Gatt as an exciting opportunity to reach new global audiences through the world's premier motorcycle racing series.

MotoGP's growing popularity across Southeast Asia – particularly in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand – made Gresini Racing an ideal vehicle for BK8 News to expand its brand recognition. The 2026 team launch in Kuala Lumpur was a direct expression of this Asian market strategy, bringing MotoGP glamour to a region with rapidly growing motorsport fandom.
